GPS + a serial terminal logger + some perl scripts + Image Magick + mencoder + cinelerra = my GPS speed overlayed ontop of a video of me driving …. yeah!

    What a cool idea! I really want my camera to record GPS coordinates in the EXIF block. Unfortunately, Nikon thinks that's a more important feature than Canon does.

    How cool that you did it with video!

    I'd like to set up something similar so that my SPL meter can record the volume of music coming from the thump-thump cars that pass my by house near midnight, along with realtime video.
